About Lexi

Lexi has been a part of our Kruse Plaza team since 2024, beginning as a part-time event director to full-time Wedding Account Coordinator. As a past Kruse Plaza bride, Lexi has the unique ability to share her experiences and relate to the couples in a different way. She loves working on the back end of planning with couples to help their vision come to life! Outside of the office, you might see Lexi at a concert, watching reality TV, or spending time with her husband and dog.

After earning her degree in Facility and Event Management in 2023, Annaliese joined the Kruse Plaza team eager to begin her career in the wedding industry. She loves connecting with clients and collaborating with them to bring their vision to life. Annaliese is passionate about wedding coordination and finds true joy in witnessing couples celebrate their love surrounded by friends and family. She feels honored to play a meaningful role in each couple’s wedding story. Outside of the office, Annaliese enjoys traveling to new countries, staying active, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Presley joined the Kruse Plaza team in 2023, beginning her internship to learn more about the wedding industry, and quickly falling in love with the job, and mission of Kruse Plaza. Presley loves getting to know our clients as they choose their space and date for their special day. Outside of work, Presley can be found at pilates, trying a new coffee shop, or going to a country music concert.

After starting as part-time event staff in 2023, Allison fell in love with the wedding industry and joined the team as a full-time Administrative Assistant. She loves helping Annaliese and Lexi with all the little details that go into weddings and ensuring every couple has the perfect day. You’ll find Allie spending her time coaching baton twirling and dance, going to concerts, and crafting when she’s not in the office.

Joe has been a chef for 20+ years, and learned his skills from some of the finest chefs in the area. He comes from a military background, and has traveled around the world twice. His favorite part about working here is being a part of the Kruse Plaza family, and making each wedding better with your catering experience.

About Aliviah

In 2019, Aliviah earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree with a Major in Culinary Arts and Foodservice Management at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. Aliviah loves working at Kruse Plaza for the family-feel of the team, the freedom to be herself, and the opportunity to execute the best!

Outside of work you will often find her caring for over 100 house plants; outside gardening; cooking delicious and nutritious meals at home; or learning about sustainable food and farming practices, holistic health, and different cultures’ cuisines. The intertwined and sprawling vines of the spirituality and community of food and nature are Aliviah’s deepest passion.

About Dawn

Dawn has been serving as a bartender for 20+ years and has been a part of the Kruse Plaza team since 2022. Dawn is passionate about crafting cocktails that reflect a couple’s personality and love story, which is translated into house made syrups and cocktails. She loves the challenge of creating a cocktail to reflect the couple’s taste. Out of the office, you’ll find Dawn spending quality time with her grandkids.

About Randy

Randy was born & raised in northeastern Pennsylvania and started DJing events when he was 17. While in college in Pennsylvania for a communications degree, he worked at multiple area radio stations. Then, in 1999, Randy moved to Fort Wayne, IN and took an on-air position at WJFX Hot 107.9. It's been a long and successful career for Randy in the radio industry, traveling all over the country for events, interviewing some of music's biggest names, and working with other radio professionals from major U.S. Markets. He currently is on the air at WBTU US 93.3. Not many can say this, he has DJ'd over a thousand weddings! He's known for his professionalism, to get a party started and to keep the party going!

About Jesse

Jesse began his career 20 years ago producing and editing his mixtapes to promote himself in the city of Chicago where he was born and raised. His modern approach to music is influenced by the ’80s, ’90s, Rock, Top 40, and all styles of Latin music. Jesse sets out to put his heart, soul, and Chicago-style spirit into every event he does. I never great a break of incorporating music in the mix since it fuels my daily life whether I'm in the gym, traveling, in the office, cooking, and spending time with my family.

About John

John is an entrepreneur born and raised in Auburn, Indiana. His calling and vision to make Kruse Plaza a place where our communities can gather for milestone events is where the drive begins for our endeavors. He firmly believes in strong families and has a special passion for weddings, brides, and grooms as they begin their families together.

John has been married to his wife Abby for over 20 years and they chose Valentine’s Day for their wedding! Many recall John being very involved in their own wedding planning and loving every minute of it, and now enjoys being part of many of the ongoing weddings and events on campus.

He serves in many capacities including owning and operating the famous Auburn Auctions for collector cars each spring & fall right here on our campus and is responsible for the many cool cars that are always present. A service-oriented solutions provider, he is also an integral part of the J. Kruse Education Center, a 501c3 not-for-profit, featuring Career Quest, a career exploration center, and the Career Coaching Academy. Kruse Plaza is pleased to be home to this impactful organization that also serves our communities.

Fun fact - John loves greeting and serving clients and one of his favorite things to do is to say hi while clearing tables at events!

John & Abby have two children and the entire family can often be found onsite supporting and joining the team as we serve, execute, and grow our mission and vision.

About Abby

Abby was born and raised in northeast Indiana and has spent her workplace career leading client services teams and in finance. Her experience in the banking world, along with being married to an entrepreneur, prepared her to be a financial controller, a role she continues in here at Kruse Plaza.

Her smiling face and welcoming attitude sets the tone of service to our clients for our team. Her passion is to serve and bring joy to our brides, grooms, and families on what is one of the most joyous days of your life — your wedding day!

You’re sure to recognize “The Abby” as a tribute to her, as she spent extra special time contributing to the look and feel of this space. She is also the heart and soul behind the Kruse Plaza Dream Wedding Giveaway events and absolutely loves blessing so many couples through this annual event.

Abby has been married to her husband John for over 20 years and they chose Valentine’s Day for their wedding! Surprise! This is why the Dream Wedding Giveaway happens each year around Valentine’s Day!

Her favorite things are being a loving and devoted wife and mother. Her commitment as a mom extends to her choice to also home educate their children.

Abby, along with John and their two children, can be often found onsite supporting the team and contributing her love, kindness, and wisdom. She is actively involved in decision making and ensuring we serve and provide exceptional experiences for all of our clients and guests.

About Patrick

Patrick spent 27 years in church ministry serving in roles as youth pastor, family pastor and executive pastor mostly in large multisite churches in Indiana, Tennessee, and Michigan. In the fall of 2022, he and his wife Mandy came back home to northeast Indiana to be part of the Kruse Plaza team.

Patrick has the honor of leading the extremely gifted Kruse Plaza team, managing the many aspects of weddings, events, and operations. Patrick has been part of more weddings and events than he can count ranging from a few people to thousands. He has always been passionate about the family and helping parents shape the next generation, especially his own family. Patrick and Mandy were married in 1994 and have 3 daughters, 2 son in laws and their first grandchild arriving in March 2026. He enjoys meeting people and executing their plan for their events.

Leading up to the event, we maintain open communication through multiple check-ins to ensure clarity and precision.

On the day of the wedding, your day-of coordinator will oversee the execution of everything so you can fully experience your day!

For starters, everything my husband and I imagined for our wedding came true because of Kruse Plaza. Both Annaliese and Lexi were phenomenal. My husband and I let them know what we wanted and they made all that come true. They were patient and were amazing to have throughout this experience.

The day of the wedding Patrick and Lexi made sure we were good and treated us like royalty. Lexi went over everything with us to make sure we were ok with the flow. Anytime we had a question or needed some assistance, she was right there for us. She was the best! We couldn't have experienced anything better than this.

When I first looked at the website, I fell in love. When we walked around with Patrick and did the tour, I fell in love even more. I knew this was the place I wanted to get married and if we were to do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing. If I was able to, Kruse Plaza would have more than 5 stars.

We got married at The Abby in October and the team was incredible! They were there every step of the way through planning, decorating, to the rehearsal, and wedding day.

The staff was so organized, kept us on time, made sure everyone knew where they should be, etc! All the guests were extremely impressed with the food, bar service, and the beauty of the venue! The stylists loved the setup for hair and makeup.

It was the perfect day, and we have Kruse to thank for that!!!

We had an amazing experience at Kruse Plaza. We had very few ideas of what we wanted for our wedding but knew we wanted something classy. I think no matter what we wanted Kruse Plaza would have been able to do it.

We fell in love with the venue when we went on a tour and the people were so kind and caring. They made sure our wedding day was perfect and exactly what we wanted. Planning was a breeze with the wonderful coordinators and planners. The day of was stress free with everyone so kind to help and execute everything we wanted.

The venue was gorgeous and classy which is exactly what we were wanting but I also felt so comfortable. The venue was perfect for us and made custom to best fit us. They were all great people and made sure the wedding day was exactly what we wanted.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is provided when booking?

Kruse Plaza will provide tables, up to 250 chairs, and table linens. We also include four sections of pipe and drape, access to the bridal suite, grooms lounge, and cocktail hour space, three planning meetings with an account coordinator, and event director/event staff team on the day of your wedding.

How long do we have access to the venue?

You will have access to your space and bridal suite/grooms lounge from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with lights on at 10:00 PM. Any personal items and decor must be removed from the space by 11:00 PM.

Can I have my ceremony on-site?

Yes! We have four outdoor ceremony spaces (The Woods, The Meadows, The Courtyard, The Waterfront), or you can use your reception space as a ceremony spot. While your guests are enjoying cocktail hour, our team will flip the space for your reception. This also ensures you have a plan in place for any inclement weather if you book an outdoor space.

Can I have an outdoor reception?

While we do not offer outdoor receptions, we do offer outdoor ceremonies. Discuss this with our account coordinators to learn more about this option.

Are there any restrictions on catering?

We have an exclusive list of vendors who are permitted to cater at Kruse Plaza that is reviewed annually. Our in-house chefs make a variety of dishes and are always open to new ideas. Let us know what you’re thinking and we can help make your dreams a reality.

Can we bring in our own alcohol?

Due to our liquor license, all alcohol must be provided by Kruse Plaza. We have multiple different packages to best suit you and the needs of your guests!

Can I use any DJ?

Kruse Plaza has exclusive arrangements with DJ Ridle (Jesse Granados) and Alomar Entertainment. Once your date is booked, we will get your DJ secured and your date on their calendar.
